Varvaglione

Varvaglione 1921 is located in Leporano, in Salento. For four generations, the Varvaglione family has been making quality wines with native grape varieties. The owner and winemaker, Cosimo Varvaglione, has brought his vision to the family enterprise, modernizing techniques and increasing production. This company is known for its fine wines in the international and domestic markets, earning important recognition and awards. The London Financial Times recognized Varvaglione 1921 as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe in 2017.

From the Varvaglione 1921 flagship wine, Papale Linea Oro, made from the famous Pugliese variety Primitivo, to other well-known indigenous varieties such as Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Bianca or Verdeca and Fiano, Varvaglione’s extensive portfolio also includes wines made from international grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Varvaglione 1921 is concerned with preserving the environment and performs systematic quality control and is monitored by the University of Udine and the University of Rome, Tor Vergata.
